Camp Cobb
We are traveling in a 36′ U295 Foretravel coach. It is easy for me (Dolly) because all the work is done by Dave. He drives, he hooks up, he sets up camp. All I have to do is figure out which cabinet has the chips.
The coach is an older one, 1998 and lovely inside. Made to excellent specs so it is still going strong.
Lots of good times ahead.
i can hardly wait to sit down with enough time at hand to peruse all the pictures and posts for this ongoing cruising adventure!
Jessamine,
The word “sit” does not apply to you.
😉
Dera Fore friends.
I am from the UK. I live in retirement bliss in Palm Springs CA with my wife Esther since 2005. We are here to be near the grand children in LA without being too close to be on stand by baby sitting duty. I began my quest for a motorhome in 2009 having fallen in love with a Foretravel 1995 Grand Villa 280 SE. It was for sale at consignment but the people selling it neglected it to the shame of the owner. I lost the possibility to by this 40foot beuty and I have been like an orphan ever since.
My reason for writing to you is first to congratulate you on the web site and second the lifestyle you convey. I love your coach with mid-entry and I am convinced that Foretravel is the best way to go. There are so few here in CA so I hav to head over to Texas.
Best wishes
David
Thanks for your comments.
We have really enjoyed our ownership of the 2 36′ Foretravels, first the 93 U225, and now the 98 U295. We just spent another 4 day weekend in the coach seeing friends, parked at their place in their driveway.
I have learned that our old U225 is for sale again. (see here) The widow is going to sell it after losing her husband a couple of months ago. We will be putting up the ad we built for the coach from last year when we listed it for sale. They were only able to use it a couple of weekends and one longer trip all here in TX. She told me they were always amazed how everything worked. They spent 5 hours with me the day they picked it up getting up to speed on the systems and where things were located. They drove it home day one and moved out of a rental and into the coach for some months before he needed medical care.
I can send you a link to the ad when we get it back up. Till then you can see lots of photos of the coach on our Smugmug site: http://sailwing.smugmug.com/Coach
On our CampCobb site there is a long list of upgrades and work done by the year or month.
Hopefully you can find your dream Foretravel. I spent the weekend with a couple that sold their Tiffin, and are looking around the country. As we were pulling out of the storage warehouse another couple showed up that are looking and had been to the 96 U295 that is on the Dallas Craigslist. We had met them months ago at a Foretravel weekend when they showed up to see Foretravels. The coach has terrible photos, and would have been sold with decent photos. I have seen the coach, and it has a bunch of upgrades from the factory not normal for the U295 or the year.
